I met Christel Don a freelance journalist while visiting the the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. She was super nice. She asked me questions about my experiences with a prototype of the Synopter designed by Prof. Maarten Wientjes who teaches at the Delft University of Technology. The Synopter “fools the viewer” into perceiving “enhanced depth” within paintings. Look up Stereopsis and Accommodation if you want to learn more about the principles behind the phenomenon.
